About Us

Who We Are

The Limerick Social Service Council (LSSC) is a leading voluntary service, working in communities in Limerick for over five decades.  We deliver our services at the LSSC Centre in Henry Street, Limerick and at different locations throughout Limerick City and County.

These are delivered through the Child and Family Service, the Early Years Services (Crèche and Pre-school), the Counselling Service, and Services for Older People.

Our new service at the Child and Family Centre, Southside Education Campus, is due to open shortly in Roxboro, Limerick.

We also offer our rooms and facilities at the LSSC Centre in Henry Street to other agencies and organisations to enable them to serve clients within the community.

Our greatest resource is our people. We have a compassionate team of professionally qualified individuals who each bring a unique set of expertise and experience to our organisation. Though everyone serves a different role, each person is committed to supporting the LSSC work.  In addition to our staff, our teams include our CE Scheme and our dedicated volunteers. The teams are led by our General Manager, Brian Ryan, and overseen by the LSSC Board.
