Groups using the Limerick Social Service Centre

The life of the Social Service Centre continues after usual office hours due to the large number of voluntary groups who have access to the centre.

Every evening during the week, between four and six groups hold meetings at the Centre.

The group who availed of the centre in 2010 include:

• Alcoholics Anonymous Groups

• Al-Anon Group

• Brainwave

• Bruree House (for people with addiction problems and their families)

• Cancer Support

• Coeliac Society

• CURA

• Diocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage Office

• Emergency Reponse Group

• Gam-Anon

• Inner Wheel

• Irish Countrywoman’s Association (I.C.A)

• Irish Pre-school Playgroup Association (I.P.P.A.)

• Miles (Men in Limerick Experiencing Separation)

• Narcotics Anonymous

• Older Persons Group

• Overeaters Anonymous

• Parent Support Group

• Retired Civil Servants

• Retired Gardaí

• Schizophrenia Ireland

• Women’s Group

The Centre also rents out rooms to both voluntary and statutory organisations for services that are in line with LSSC objectives (HSE West Family Therapy, HSE West Aftercare, and Brainwave).
