Quality Improvements
Training & Development: The LSSC is committed to providing quality services and believes it is important to ensure that all of its staff are professionally qualified and suitably trained to undertake their work. The LSSC is therefore committed to staff training and continuous professional development (CPD). On an on-going basis, staff throughout the organisation are supported to attend training courses that are linked to their ongoing professional development and registration by professional bodies.
Standards: In addition to staff development, the LSSC also works to continually raise the standards of its services. For example, the Early Years Services has worked intensely to reach the Síolta Standards. This has resulted in our Early Years Service being the first in Limerick to gain accreditation for the Centre in Síolta standards, which is the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and is designed to support the improvement of quality across all aspects of practice in early childhood care and education.
Website: Improving information about our services means that the public will understand what we do and how to access our services when people need them. The LSSC believes that we can reach more people with better information through our technology. We have revise the LSSC website to make it clearer, simpler and more informative. We hope that with new uses of colour, images, and information, we will reflect the LSSC as an accessible, welcoming and effective organisation that is open to all.
